Algiers

The city of Algiers is the capital of the state of Algeria, one of the countries of the Maghreb,
and the main and economic center of the country, and the largest port connecting Algeria (one of the Arab countries in Africa) and the countries of the outside world; Especially in international trade.
The name Algeria comes from the plural of the word islands, according to the group of
islands that are located opposite the coast, as the city is called Al-Bahjah, and white Algeria; And that is because of the gloss of its high-rise buildings in white


Population

The population of the Algiers region is estimated at about 3.4 million.
Its population density is about 11,000 people per 8,300 per square kilometer.
A different group of people from many backgrounds and countries lives in it. About 53% of the people speak Arabic, 44% of the population speak the Berber language, while 3% of its residents were born in a different country.

  • Botanical garden El-Hamma Jardin d’Essai: The Botanical garden El-Hamma Jardin
    d’Essai was established by the French in the year 1832 AD on an area of 140 acres,
    and is considered one of the historical monuments that reflect the beauty of nature
    and the magic of creativity,It is considered a natural museum, as it includes 2,500
    species of plants, trees that are hundreds of years old, as well as more than 25 types of palm trees.
