Agadir is a Moroccan city from Arabic Cities on the Atlantic coast, 508 km from the capital, Rabat. It rises about 56 meters above sea level.
The city of Agadir is of interest primarily because of its location, as it is surrounded by the Anti Atlas, the Sahara Desert on the Atlantic coast with many national parks, and secluded beaches which are all easily accessible

Agadir was founded by the Portuguese in 1500 AD, then it was liberated by the Moroccans in 1526 AD.

Climate

• Agadir is located on a coastal plain overlooking the western coast of
  the Atlantic Ocean at latitude 27 north, where it is characterized by
  the presence of many hills and valleys on its surroundings

• The weather in Agadir is subtropical, yet very dry, since rainfall is
  scarce and fog is the most common type of moisture.

Tourism in Agadir

There are many wonderful tourist attractions in Agadir, the most important of which are:

1-Agadir Beach

• Agadir Beach is one of the most beautiful Moroccan beaches; Because it contains a lot of tourist activities that attract many tourists to it.
• These activities include: horse riding, practicing water sports, and
  quiet sunbathing located on the Corniche, as well as sitting at cafes and restaurants located along the coast.

2-Crocopark

• This wildlife reserve, 14 kilometers east of Agadir, is home to Nile
  Crocodiles, which up to the early 20th century were endemic in Morocco.

• In this park dedicated to safeguarding the crocodiles, you can see and learn about these much-feared beasts up close.

3-Bird Watching at The Souss Massa National Park

• About 65 kilometers south of Agadir, this national park is one of the country’s prime bird-watching areas.

• The landscape of Souss-Massa National Park consists of a mix of sand dunes, beaches, and wetlands that trail along the Atlantic coast.

• Some of the birds common to the park area and regularly spotted include pink flamingos, doves, herons ,ibis , cormorants, and ducks.

4-Agadir’s City Center

• The modern central core of Agadir has a few interesting monuments that make a nice diversion from sunbathing.

• The Grand Mosque is a modernist-style structure and very unique among Morocco’s mosques.

• The Agadir Memorial Museum (Avenue President Kennedy) was erected as a memorial to Agadir’s tragic 1960 earthquake
