The name Algeria comes from the plural of the word islands, according to the group of
islands that are located opposite the coast, as the city is called Al-Bahjah, and white Algeria; And that is because of the gloss of its high-rise buildings in white

The population of the Algiers region is estimated at about 3.4 million.
Its population density is about 11,000 people per 8,300 per square kilometer.
A different group of people from many backgrounds and countries lives in it. About 53% of the people speak Arabic, 44% of the population speak the Berber language, while 3% of its residents were born in a different country.
